Il Fatto Quotidiano
I contributed to a comprehensive redesign of the Il Fatto Quotidiano’s main website post‑2019, improving UX, performance, and editorial workflows through short iteration cycles and cross-team collaboration.
About the project
Following the 2019 redesign, Il Fatto Quotidiano’s main website underwent a continuous transformation aimed at improving the reading experience, streamlining user interactions, and modernizing the platform’s performance and maintainability.
My role
As part of the front-end development team, I contributed to the site’s evolution by collaborating closely with graphic designers and marketers to enhance UX/UI and optimize conversion paths. I focused on cleaning up technical debt, improving performance metrics, and adopting accessibility best practices. Together with the product, editorial, and customer care teams, we established a short-cycle iterative workflow to align technical improvements with real user needs and business goals.
Outcome
The redesign and ongoing improvements resulted in a faster, more accessible platform with enhanced SEO, stronger engagement, and better alignment between editorial, marketing, and product priorities. The adoption of lean development cycles improved maintainability and responsiveness to feedback, ensuring the site could evolve in step with audience expectations.
